We are a small family run business located on the Sligo-Leitrim border in the beautiful north-west of Ireland. In 2016 we took off around Ireland in our motorhome with our 2 young kids and our dog. We spent the year volunteering on farms from Sligo to West Cork where we learnt about natural building, organic vegetable growing, beekeeping and permaculture principles. We discovered a rich culture of people living “the good life” away from the stresses of city life. (Link to IT article about our Woofing experience)
Later that year we left Dublin and moved West to our new smallholding nestled between the beautiful Gleniff Horseshoe Valley and the wild Atlantic coastline. Since then we’ve been growing more and more of our own food in our large greenhouse and polytunnel, and in 2020 we began experimenting with growing exotic varieties of mushrooms. Inspired by the works of mycological gurus like Paul Stamets and Peter McCoy, I decided to quit my job and start growing mushrooms full time.
Our goal is to provide the best quality, and freshest exotic mushroom varieties to local food businesses. We also make mushroom grow kits for those who want to experience the magic of watching these amazing organisms grow at home.
